Grand Kids Week
We started with a family reunion on Cedar Mountain. The days were beautiful and nights cool. The grand kids rode their bikes and kicked up lots of dust and road miles. The parents took the kids on several rides with the most traumatic to the Mammoth caves. Heidi and Chad will recover. Campfire each evening was always fun and entertaining. Different competitions were in process during the 3days. The grand kids were earning tickets for all the events that they could turn into money (play) during the next week. All the grand kids had 100 tickets to spend at the grandma's week. The highlight of the week was the store run by Kayla and Chelsea. The kids loved spending their "money" for treats, drinks, and activities. Monday was western day. The most requested return event was horse riding with Kyle at the Vaca's ranch. Tuesday and Wednesday were carnival with all the events including a magic show. Kayla demonstrated a science project each day. Chelsea helped with all the projects. Thursday with Luau, Friday was Bird, and Saturday was Fiesta. We had tie dye t-shirts, pinatas, and a volcano. Everyday featured swimming, rest time, DVD's, and exquisitely prepared food. Special feature this year was Mason, all the grand kids got to know him and enjoy him as part of week. We celebrated 3 birthdays during the week, April, Trevan and Carson. Kids were seen sharing their (play) money with the birthday boys. Another event in the mix was the dogs, they loved to lick, chase harass everyone and even entertain. Grandpa was the most help in the back ground keeping the events going, even the last minute added marshmallow guns that Chad helped put together.
